By entering this facility, all persons agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:

General

  • Prior to entering the facility all persons must report to Reception and sign in
  • On leaving the facility all persons must sign out.
  • All persons entering the facility must have completed a site induction.
  • All deliveries to be made to Reception.
  • Any person entering the facility does so at their own risk.
  • Sydney City Marine (SCM) does not accept liability for any injury or death to any person while at the facility or elsewhere.
  • SCM does not accept liability for any loss or damage to any person’s property whether at the facility or elsewhere.
  • The facility user indemnifies SCM against any loss, damage, expense or claim which may arise as a result of the use of the facility.
  • Contractors can not undertake any form of work at the facility without first completing a Contractors Registration Application, and undergoing a site induction.
  • SCM reserves the right to remove any person from the facility if the person’s behaviour is considered dangerous or unacceptable.
  • Persons gaining unauthorised access to the facility may be liable for prosecution.
  • All accidents or emergencies are to be immediately reported to Reception.
  • All persons must obey all signs, notices and directions given by SCM and its staff whilst at the facility.
  • All work performed is subject to SCM Trading Terms and Conditions.
  • All persons are subject to, and must abide by SCM Site Rules. A copy can be obtained from Reception.

Visitor Access Hours

  • Unless by prior approval, Visitors are prohibited from accessing the facility outside office hours of 0800 to 1700 Monday to Friday, with no access on public holidays.

Dress

  • Persons must not enter the facility without fully enclosed foot wear. Absolutely no thongs or other open toe footwear is permitted.

Vehicles

  • Vehicles must not go beyond the SCM entry gates without express permission from SCM staff.
  • Any vehicle entering the facility must be in good operating order. e.g. no oil or other fluid leaks
  • Any vehicle entering the facility must abide by the 2km per hour speed limit.
  • SCM reserves the right to enter and operate any vehicle in its facility if in its opinion it is necessary to do so and in doing so SCM will not be liable for any loss or damage to the vehicle or other property.
  • The vehicle owner or its representative shall indemnify SCM against any damage occasioned to the vehicle and any actions, claims, proceedings, expenses and demands made against SCM caused by or related to the presence of the vehicle in the facility.
  • Access is highly restricted and in most cases will be refused.

Evacuation

  • Evacuation of SCM will be signalled by 3 short bursts of an air horn (repeated). In the event of an evacuation, move quickly to one of the two evacuation areas and wait to have your name marked off a register. Do not re-enter the site unless authorised to do so by a SCM staff member.

Smoking or Flame

  • Smoking is not permitted on site at any time.

Children

  • Any persons under the age of 18 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

Pets

  • No pets are allowed on site at any time.

Drugs and Alcohol

  • Persons are not permitted to enter the site whilst under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Musical Instruments

  • Musical instruments and/or electronic musical devices must not be operated at the facility.

No Swimming, Diving or Fishing

  • Swimming, Diving or Fishing on or in the vicinity of the facility is prohibited at all times.

Vessels

  • The boat owner or its representatives shall indemnify SCM against any damage occasioned to the boat and any actions, claims, proceedings, expenses and demands made against SCM caused by or related to the presence of the vessel in the marina or on the hardstand.
  • The speed limit for vessels within the facility or areas immediately adjacent is 4 knots or wakeless whichever is lower.
  • Tyres or parts of tyres are not to be used to fender vessels.
  • Vessels must be kept in a neat and tidy condition and decks must be free of debris, rubbish, bottles and garbage.
  • Halyards must be tied off to eliminate noise.
  • Vessels must not be refuelled at facility unless otherwise approved by SCM.
  • No waste of any kind may be discharged or released into the Harbour waters within or around the facility.
  • Vessels shall not contain dangerous, poisonous or noxious substances except in properly secured containers expressly designed to contain such substances against leakage or escape and which are necessary and/or suitable for the boat.
  • All vessel accessories that could cause injury to persons if run while the vessel is at the facility must be individually isolated.
  • SCM accepts no responsibility for loss or damage arising out of the supply of electricity (or its termination) to vessels whilst on the marina or hardstand.
  • Persons are not permitted to stay aboard vessels whilst at the facility without prior approval from SCM Management.
  • Use of SCM garbage disposal services are not permitted without prior approval from SCM Management.
  • SCM reserves the right to board and enter (by force if necessary) any vessel if in its opinion such actions are necessary for the safety of the persons, the environment, the vessel, other vessels or SCM infrastructure.
